We are surrounded by large, successful platforms such as Lazada, Amazon, Google, Grab, Netflix, and FoodPanda.

What makes platforms different than traditional businesses? What are network externalities and how do platforms use them to create markets? How do platforms optimally set prices?

To learn more about platforms and market design, i.e. the study of how to set up a marketplace and how to “fix” broken ones, attend the "Masterclass" session.

Led by Professor Melati Nungsari, Assistant Professor of Economics at the Asia School of Business and a Research Affiliate at MIT Sloan School of Management.

Held outside the usual classroom setting, the Masterclass showcases what the MBA classroom experience is like and it's an amazing opportunity to see how classes are run and content is shaped in an engaged learning environment.
